I Can Do Anything
- Monarch allows users to re-use information from existing computer reports, such as text, PDF and HTML files. Monarch can also import data from OLE DB/ODBC data sources, spreadsheets and desktop databases. Users define models that describe the layout of data in the report file, and the software parses the data into a tabular format. The parsed data can be further enhanced with links to external data.
- Monarch Pro is a Windows-based business intelligence and reporting tool that is easy to use — even if you’re not a power user with advanced technology skills. Unlike traditional data mining tools, Monarch Pro easily mines data from existing text-based, PDF or XPS reports.
Years ago we needed a solution that would take fixed width ASCII files and convert them into usable fields. We started on v9 and have been using it ever since. The issue we had is that our vendor would charge a lot for custom reports, but all the standard reports they gave us had the information we wanted, but we needed either calculations performed on certain fields or the data presented in another format. We were able to create models and apply them to these reports and capture exactly what we needed and manipulate it to what my Board wanted to see. On top of this, they purchased Panopticon, and now we're able to visualize the data.
